Modeling structural deformation and failure in fluid-structure interaction with WC-TLSPH

In this paper, the coupled weakly compressible (WC) and total Lagrangian (TL) smoothed particle hydrodynamics (SPH) model based on open-source multi-physics multi-resolution SPHinXsys library is used to simulate structural deformation failure problem in fluid-structure interaction (FSI). Aiming at that original TLSPH method could not cracks their propagation, fracture established, then verified by fast-loading slow-loading cases respectively. With hand, with WCSPH breaking dam flow impacting an elastic/elastoplastic baffle. The comparison literature data shows present WC-TLSPH can accurately FSI where figurative process involved, indicating compromising potential of established elastoplastic scientific industrial applications.
